This privacy policy covers 2oodles.app — the marketing website — and the 2oodles app, a pair of dog-related apps still in development. It explains what we collect, how we use it, and how our text-messaging program works.

What the website collects

Almost nothing. We don't run analytics, we don't set tracking cookies, and we don't embed third-party trackers on this site.

The only place you can share information with us through the website is the "Keep me posted" form. When you submit it, your browser opens your own email client with a message to hello@2oodles.app containing the email address and role you entered. Nothing is stored on a server of ours until that message actually arrives in our inbox.

If you email us — through the form or directly — we use your address for one thing: letting you know when the apps are ready, and replying if you asked us something. No marketing drip, no list rental, no "growth hacks."

What the 2oodles app collects

When you create an account in the 2oodles app, we collect the information needed to set up and secure that account:

• Name — so we know what to call you and your household in the app.
• Email address — used to identify your account, send sign-in links, and contact you about important account events.
• Mobile phone number — used to send sign-in one-time codes and account-related text messages (see "Text messages (SMS)" below). You provide your number and opt in to texts during account creation; it is never required as a condition of any purchase.

We use this account information to operate the app, authenticate you when you sign in, secure your account, and send the transactional messages described below. We do not use your account information — including your mobile number — for marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not sell it.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your information and we don't share it with advertisers. The only third parties that ever touch it are the service providers we use to actually run 2oodles — for example, our email provider, our hosting and database provider, and the carrier-approved messaging providers we use to deliver text messages to your phone. Those providers are only allowed to use your information to provide their service to us.

Mobile information, mobile phone numbers, and SMS opt-in consent are never shared, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. This applies to all of the messaging-program information we collect, including phone numbers and opt-in records.

Hosting and server logs

The marketing site is served as static files. Our hosting provider may keep standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested page, user agent) for a short period to operate the service and protect against abuse. We don't combine those logs with anything else.

Text messages (SMS)

The 2oodles messaging program sends sign-in one-time codes to the mobile number associated with your 2oodles account. You agree to receive these messages when you provide your number during account creation or when you choose SMS as a sign-in method.

• What you'll receive. Sign-in one-time codes. We do not send promotional or marketing texts.
• Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on how you use the service. Each sign-in triggers a message, so the more often you sign in, the more messages you'll receive; if you don't use the app, you won't get any.
• Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging and data rates from your mobile carrier apply to messages you send and receive. We don't charge anything for the messages themselves.
• Opting out — reply STOP. Reply STOP to any of our messages at any time to stop receiving texts from 2oodles. We will send one confirmation message and then no further messages, unless you opt in again.
• Help — reply HELP. Reply HELP to any of our messages for help, or contact hello@2oodles.app. If you opt out, you may no longer be able to use features that require text messages, like signing in by SMS.
• Carrier liability. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
• We don't share your mobile number. Your mobile number and SMS opt-in information are never shared, sold, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only parties we share them with are the carrier-approved messaging providers we use to actually deliver the texts you've asked us to receive.

Children

2oodles is intended for adults thinking about their dogs. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your account information, or your email if you only signed up for updates, at any time. Reply to any message from us, or write to hello@2oodles.app, and we'll take care of it. You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For any meaningful change, we'll also mention it when we next email the people who signed up.
